    Hi,

    We have just setup a new 2930F switch with 2 vlans.  Vlan 1 "defaut" and Vlan 200

    Vlan1 = 10.10.100.0

    Vlan200 = 10.10.200.0

    If a pc is plugged into vlan 200 they will pull an ip from the dhcp server without issue.  The pc is able to ping any devices in the default vlan of 10.10.100.0 but they are not able to get intenet access.   The Vlan 200 interface is 10.10.200.2.

    If you are using the default Vlan1 internet access works just fine.

    Our config is attached.  We are new to the Aruba switches so I am sure we are missing something easy hopefully.

    Thanks,

    Monty

    Hi,

    have you added a route for 10.10.200.0/24 Network to your internet gateway (router or firewall)?

    Using switch syntax: ip route 10.10.200.0 255.255.255.0 10.10.100.2

    Does that device do NAT for 10.10.200.0/24 Network? (Small routers typically NAT everything, enterprise grade firewalls might need configuration, if adding networks to the infrastructure...)

    Firewall rules for new network in place?

    Is 10.10.100.1 the internet gateway? (in enterprise LANs DHCP server typically is different from internet gateway)

    Config looks ok (should be optimized for aspects besides routing. like loop avoidance and more...).

    Regards, Jörg

    Hi,

    Thanks so much for posting your reply.  You were correct. A route was required from the router in order to get back ot the switch for the 2nd vlan.

    Also, thanks for the tips on the config optimization.
