I just want to find ouot what the following settings are for on a Aruba Controller.
Under "Configuration -> IP -> IP Routes" below the Default Gateway setting there is a Dynamic section where you can Tick the radio buttons for "DHCP", " PPPoE" and Cellular with a cost associated.
WHat are these settings for and what can happen with having them enabled/disable?
Solved! Go to Solution.

If you don't set a default gateway on the controller, the controller will dynamically try to recieve one from the ones you have selected.
All are selected by default, and the controller will try them in order of the lowest cost first.
As we usually set a default gateway manually, the dynamic ones are not used.
From the User Guide
3. You can define a dynamic gateway using DHCP, PPPOE or a cell uplink interface. In the Dynamic section, click the DHCP, PPPoE or Cellular checkboxes to select one or more dynamic gateway options. If you select more than one dynamic gateway type, you must also define a cost for the route to each gateway. The controller will first attempt to obtain a gateway IP address using the option with the lowest cost. If the controller is unable to
obtain a gateway IP address, it will then attempt to obtain a gateway IP address using the option with the nextlowest path cost.
