    Wondered if there was a published list of the defined Apps and App Categories?  Also is the Apps and Apps Category List dynamically updated, if so how often or will Aruba only introduce new Apps and App Categories in Code Updates?

    In the CLI there are 2 commands,

     

    - show dpi application all

    - show dpi application category all

     

    This will show you the list supported in the version you are running.

    Currently I only have 6.3.x code on my 7210s and can't update yet was wondering what the future held.  Trying to get the older AP-65 devices upgraded so I can move to 6.4.x code in the future.  Was hoping there was a doc out that describe more detail around the defined apps and categories.  Sounds like I will have to wait till I can upgrade.

    AOS 6.4 greatly enhanced the DPI categories. When more categories and "fingerprints" are added, they are usually indicated in the release notes. I think it's safe to assume that every major release (6.4.1, 6.4.2, etc) will have updated app fingerprints.
