    Hi,

I've set up Aruba VIA client to authenticate with windows credentials. The controller uses LDAP to the Windows Domain Controller to verify the login. For extra security we would like the VIA client to provide the mac address of the connecting client as well and check if it exists in the internalDB.

    Is this possible?

    Regards,

    Erik

This is not possible.   VIA supports the following authentication schemes.  If you want an extra check, your best bet is to use IKEv1 and use a certificate and then username/password.

    IKEv1 (two-phase authentication method)

    • Phase 1 - PSK or X.509 certificate
    • Phase 2 - XAUTH (username/password)

    IKEv2 (single phase authentication method)

    • X.509 certificate
    • EAP-TLS
    • EAP-PEAP (username/password)

Thank you, I will look into the certificate as an extra security measure.
