Aruba controller VPN Concentrator

    Hi guys, can a single controller handle IAP-VPN concentrator and normal AP termination & configuration together?

     

    What I heard is we do require second controller to handle the AP if the first unit is handling IAP-VPN concentrator.

     

    We are going to deploy 300 IAP, build VPN tunnel to controller while the controller is handling 50 units remote AP. Can it be done?

    Yes, you just need to check platform and scaling numbers (users and tunnels)

    The controller is 7220.

    Can you advise does it make any degrade of the performance in this scenario?

     

    We soon to have 300 IAP-VPN and 50 remote AP deployed.

    There should be no performance impact.



    A 7220 can handle up to 24k IPSec tunnels (each RAP and each IAP-VPN tunnel)
