    Using a IAS as a Radius back-end and returning the VLAN in which the user belongs to based, for example, group membership works fine - But I've only tried this without terminating it on the controller.

     

    Besides having a certificate on the controller - Does this basically work without configuration changes if I terminate the Radius authentication on the wireless controller instead? A bit unsure on this point - Are the attributes necessary still get returned to the controller - in this case, the VLAN the user should end up in?

    I can say that it works for me when the authentication is terminated on the controller.
