Authenticate AP via 802.1x certificate agains switch

I thought this was going to be easy, but is it even possible to authenticate an accesspoint against a switch via 802.1x (certificate based) ?

All our wired ports need to be 802.1x instead of mac auth.

In the provisioning settings of an AP i can only do 802.1x PEAP.

Isn't it possible to provision those AP's with a certificate?

Re: Authenticate AP via 802.1x certificate agains switch

Are you using Controller based APs or Instant APs?

For the controller based APs, you can do EAP-TLS authentication on the uplink port with either the factory TPM certificate or a certificate of your own starting ArubaOS 8.2.

Unfortunately not available on ArubaOS 6.x, nor on the recent Aruba Instant versions at the moment.
