Backup Up and Upgrade Aruba OS

Name: Aruba Operating System Software.
Model: Aruba650
Version: 6.1.3.10
Compiled: 2013-09-10 at 21:38:16 PDT (build 39813) by p4build

AP using AP93

I already backup-flash (maintenance backup flash)

which type ArubaOS is compatible with AP93 and Aruba650

i already download  version 6.4.2.3.

When I upgrade the controler, the configuration is still the same or lost ?
How long  will be the down time (reboot)?

thank you

Re: Backup Up and Upgrade Aruba OS

The 650 controller will support up to ArubaOS 6.4.x, the AP93 hasn't got a confirmed EOL for ArubaOS so you will be able to upgrade to Aruba OS 6.4.x. The AP93 will automatically upgrade when the controller is upgraded.

The configuration on the controller will remain the same, I would say it takes around 10 minutes for the controller to reboot. The amount of time that an AP will take to upgrade and reboot whilst connected to the 650 controller will depend on the amount of AP's in your environment.

Don't forget to check the upgrade path as you may need an intermediate release between 6.1 and 6.4
