Bandwidth Being Limited - But Where?

We have a set of CAPs running off a 3200XM, version 6.4.3.4, that seem to be limiting the bandwidth, but the user role is set with Up and Down to "Not Enforced".   (Security > Access Control > User Roles).

When we have a tech in the field connect directly to the switch in the field, he gets speeds of around 15 Mbps up and down, but when he connects to the WiFi from the CAPs (AP-275s), his speed for down drops to around 7 Mbps while the upload is around 14 Mbps.

Is there any other places in the 3200 that may be throttling the bandwidth other than the User Roles?   I want to cover all the bases in the controller before they tell me all their stuff is good and the problem is in the controller or the AP.

Are you Dropping Broadcasts and Unknown multicast on your Virtual APs?

Wireless will of course always be slower than wired due to the half-duplex and shared nature of the medium...

But that seems like a lot less, and just on the download side.

Per the controller, there is high interference on the channel.

Yes.   "Drop Broadcast and Unknown Multicast" is checked under Configuration > AP Group > Edit > Wireless LAN > Virtual AP.

Do you have more than one AP?

Is the client operating on the b/g band?

Yes, there is more than one AP.  We have a mesh config setup and have been testing off the portal and two other points.

In RF Management, the 802.11a radio is setup with a mesh profile and the 802.11g radio is set to default.

    You didn't mention mesh.

What is the speed that you should be getting?

    Sorry.

    Should be around 15 Mbps..

Should "Channel Quality Aware Arm" be checked for both/either of the radios?   Currently, it is not check for either of them.

It should not really be a factor here.

Why are things limited to 15 megs?

    Okay.

Just what is setup at the switch at this point.   So the question is, how much (what percentage) of that 15Mbps can/should the clients get through the APs?

There are many factors that influence that.  I don't have enough information about your situation to know.

I rather figured that.  And that is why I was hoping to take this a step at a time, seeing if there was at least anything set/configured in the controller that I could change.

Well, there are quite a few things that can contribute to the problem, so we probably need to know more about your topology so that we can guess what the problem is...

Six active APs; one portal, 5 points.  All AP-275s.

I think we have interferance issues based on what comes up under "Potential Issues" in the controller.

    I've attached two screen shots.

One showing the Topology from Monitoring > Controller > Mesh Nodes.

The other from Dashboard > Potential Issues.
