We're working on a project currently that's requested high-density AP design to support both Wi-Fi triangulation of any device, as well as Bluetooth beacons.

In general, if our layouts work for Wi-Fi triangulation (which is already fairly high density) and we use AP models with built-in USB Beacon, would we need to add more separate Beacons on top of that for a bluetooth based tracking system to work?

Depending on the locaton experiance you get, yes, you could suppliment the APs with additional Beacons.

It comes down to your AP spacing (greater than 15ft?), placement, and the building's structure.

It easy to start with the minimum (your APs) and then improve the service as and where needed with battery powered beacons.
