Can you use Aruba API to execute generic commands to the mobility controller

Been seeing most of the API discussions relating to Aruba Controller is for user management. Can you use the API to execute generic commands (and get the output) to the controller? For example commands like show user-table, or show ap active, etc?

As of today, you cannot.  You can only run the limited commands specified here:  http://www.arubanetworks.com/techdocs/ArubaOS_65x_WebHelp/Web_Help_Index.htm#ArubaFrameStyles/XML_API/Using_the_XML_API_Server.htm?Highlight=xml-api
