What kind of device is this?

    What Operating System Version?

What encryption if any is being used?

    Hi Colin,

the one being debug is an android but customer also report seeing this behaviour in apple devices.

ArubaOS ver 6.5.2.1, i will suggest them to upgrade if we cannot make any sense from the log.

    open encryption.

Is the client using 20/40 or 80 mhz channels?

Do they have "Drop Broadcast and Multicast" enabled on all of their Virtual APS?

all 20. i turned off all channel bonding.

"Dynamic Multicast Optimization", "Drop Broadcast and Unknown Multicast", and "Convert broadcast arp to unicast" are all enabled

You should enable user debugging to see why your clients disconnect.

    EDIT: You already did that..

Looking at the debug, it says that your client just ages out (does not respond).  You should open a TAC case so that they can gather more detailed information.

    alright i'll do that.

also, they are using RAP bridge mode, does that affect the client connection and roaming quality?

    GM Ricky,

Did you find a resolution to this issue? We are having the same issue now with two Microsoft Surface laptops.

    Thank you

    Hi Tom,

I do not remember what specificly i did but yes it was solved. you should check the interference level, how many APs in a area which could be too many or too far away (in-consistent distant between each AP but using same power profile could cause some problem), BC/MC optimization (don't forget on the wired side), and i believe i turned the 802.11h on.

hope it helps. debugging a specific mac address should also help.

    Hi

    You might want to upgrade.

There was similar problems with surface machines in particular, but it did affect other devices as well.

Have a look at this thread.

    https://community.arubanetworks.com/t5/Wireless-Access/surface-device-disconnection-issues/td-p/305219/page/3

I had a customer with the same problem on surface devices, after upgrade the devices behaved as expected.

You should look into upgrading to 6.5.3.3 og 6.5.4.2

At the moment 6.5.4.8 is the latest on 6.5 and it's marked as conservative, so you should be pretty safe.
