    Hello:

Is it possible to configure any AP from Aruba that makes it possible to connect an Ethernet but  non-Wifi equipment?

Which AP should it be necessary?

    TX.

All APs have mesh capability to do what you mention, and forward wired traffic.  What would be the application?

    Thank you.

It would be very simple: A PLC with Ethernet port should be connected to the wifi Network.

An access point can be configured as a mesh "Point" and forward all wired traffic connected to its ethernet ports, wirelessly to another Aruba access point configured as a mesh "Portal".  Yes, this is possible with all Campus and outdoor access points.

What about Instant APs? Can they be used as "workgroup bridges"?

Not sure about this one. I may get a chance to test it out later today. Whether or not it is supported, is a question Aruba will have to answer for you.

Instant does not bridge ethernet traffic at this time.  Maybe the product management team can speak on what is planned for the near future.

    Hi

IAP will only do MESH when there is no link on the ETH. port so that is not supported.

Well, there's your answer. Also, plugging an active ethernet cable into an Instant Mesh Point causes the IAP to reboot, losing it's Mesh Point status (It becomes a mesh point after 30 attempts at looking for an ethernet connection. If it finds an ethernet connection, it will not become a mesh point.). See the Aruba Instant user guide for more information on Aruba Instant mesh points.

You can indeed connect a wired device behind an IAP acting as a mesh point.  Just put the eth0 port into 'eth0-bridging' mode, in the UI it is accessible in the 'Edit AP' dialog by clicking on the AP name and selecting 'Edit'.  An AP in this mode will always come up as a mesh point.
