    Hi there,

I've been searching the forums here -- I'd like to find some step-by-step instructions for configuring my AP-105's in a specific building to MESH and allow access to our network from an area that has no access.  I need the APs to bridge the two locations.

    What I'm looking to do:

Take AP1 and plug it into the wired network in Location1.

Take AP2 and plug it into the wired network in Location2.

Have AP1 and AP2 bridge those two wired networks.

Can someone point me in the right direction for some instructions on how to make this happen?

    Thanks in advance!!

One would need to be the portal and the other a point node.

They both need to use the same mesh profile.

You would then need to bridge the wired ports on the accesspoint that way this will act as a network extention instead of tunneling all the traffic back to the controller.

Great, thanks -- that makes sense.

How would I go about that on the controller side?

On the controller web UI, navigate to "Wireless > AP Installation" and select the AP that you want to provision and click "Provision".

Under the mesh role select "Mesh Portal" and click provision for one AP and "Mesh Point" for another AP.

OK -- let me try that.  Seems simple.

I see the "LAN MESH" option -- but it is grayed out.

What do I need to configure to make it show up?

I went in an was able to create the mesh group and add the 2 APs to the group.   The Mesh Group shows up with the 2 APs and 1 parent and 1 child.

Is this what I need to connect the 2 separate networks?  (I can't actually try it until the power injectors come in).  I assume the parent sits on the network and the child sits on the remote network and funnels the network traffic in?

...still no LAN MESH option on the AP Config page though
