    Hi,

    We are having some issues here. our Wifi clients kept dropping from the Aruba APs. The APs are connected using power adaptors and was not rebooted.

    Can advise what is likely the issues?

    Regards,

    We are missing information:

    How log has this been happening?

    How old is the network?

    How many access points and what type?

    What type of clients are dropping?

    Are you using encryption?

    How log has this been happening?

    its intermittent but in recent 2 weeks it is like daily.

    How old is the network?

    Theres' no changes in the network for at least 5 years

    How many access points and what type?

    There are 9 AP provisioned. the model of the AP is AP61.

    What type of clients are dropping?

    Users are connected via WPA tkip. usually the users disconnect, the ssid is still broadcasting but users will have to manually reconnect 2-3min later.

    Are you using encryption?

    What is the maximum number of users that are seen on Wifi?

    Your software is very old so it is possible that there are fixes for your issue in upated versions of software.  Your controller and access points are also End-Of-Life.  The best long-term solution is to upgrade your software and hardware.  Upgrade your software, because there are hundreds of fixes for device disconnects that has been released since your software came out.  You should get more dual-band access points and a newer controller so you can take advantage of the 5ghz spectrum....and the additional throughput of 802.11n and 802.11ac...

    Hello!

    I agree with cjoseph that both hardware and software are very old and that's You have to plan to change very soon and move to 5GHz band which is not so crowded yet.

    But until You do that...

    1. Which type of clients is connecting on your wireless network (Windows, Linux, MAC...)?

    2. Which model of wireless NIC you have in your computers?

    3. Did You have ARM activated on controller ?

    If there is no changes done in configuration for a long period the first thing I think on is a interferers:

    * Bluetooth (new headsets in office?)

    * cordless phones (new phones in office?)

    * video and audio stream devices

    * RFID Readers

    * smartphones acting as AP,

    * other WiFi-networks in building sharing the same channel.

    You need hire someone who has a spectrum analyser to see if there is any interferers around You.

    Maybe there is someone who trying to perform some type of wireless attack on your network - check firewall logs.
