Converting IAP 215 to CAP - failed: Connection timed out.

    I'm trying to convert an IAP 215 to CAP and I'm getting this error message from the IAP:

    show log upgrade

    As a reference:

    * IAP 215 - Version: 6.5.0.0-4.3.0.1_57133

    * Mobility Controller: 

            Model: Aruba7205
            Version: 6.5.0.4 (build 58404)

     

    Do you know why is happening this?

    On the face of it, it looks like ftp is blocked between the IAP and the controller.

    Both devices are on the same VLAN and there is nothing between them like a Firewall...

    Is it possible for you to upgrade IAP to a newer version & then perform the upgrade.

     

    Check the following output on the IAP while conversion process is ongoing:

     

    show datapath session | include <ip address of controller>

    OK, let me upgarde it to a newer version and I'll check the output of the convertion and I'll let you know the outcome.... Thanks

    I just installed the same version that I have on the Controller into the IAP and that's worked...

     

    show datapath session | include 10.10.3.20
