Determine MAC from BSSID

    So, I understand how to determine BSSID names, if I have an AP's MAC address. (koopen.net/aruba_bssid.php)

     

    But it seems like it should be possible to do a reverser determination, wouldn't it?

     

    That would be very valuable when I'm trying to see which AP I or a staff member is connected to...

    I replied to your other thread about BSSID calculations, and made a note about reversing the formula.  In short, you lose information in the forward direction, so you can't 100% say what the original MAC was... but you can get close with the possibilities.
