Different device count on SSID and Connection Mode

    I've generate a report from Arube AirWave for Session Data by SSID and Connection mode..what I discover is that the device count on the SSID and Connection mode differ..device count by Connection Mode is higher while the sesiion count is the same..I've attached the screenshot for this particular issues.

    So you're seeing more devices associating on different radio types than per SSID. Isn't this normal?

     

    I would imagine clients are balanced across the radios to some extent. E.g. A dual band client will sometime be on the 2.4GHz radio and sometimes on the 5GHz on depending on your Wi-Fi config.
