I am providing free wireless internet hotspots for many shopping malls.

All APs in the shopping malls are configured as RAP tunnel mode.

Internet traffic is out from the central location where the controller is.

Do I need to buy the PEFNG license for each AP for this setup ?

If you want to modify any access control rules (including captive portal rules and configuring split-tunnel), then you will need PEFNG.

    Hi Cappalli
Can my controller have mixed licenses example 10AP with PEFNG that need split tunnel and another 10 AP no PEFNG licenses for tunnel mode ?

Any aruba materials for me to understand more on the license scheme and the scenarios of deployment of when I need what type of license ?

    Thanks

No you cannot do that in a single controller

IF you got 20 APS then you must have 20 AP license and 20 PEFNG license

You cannot have 20 AP license and then 10 PEFNG license, thats not possible

    Cheers

    Carlos

    No. Licenses need to match.
