    Hi,

We have recently upgraded a customers controller from 5.0.3.2 to 6.1.2.4 and I have just noticed that following the upgrade, Airwave is reporting a fairly large increase in network usage.  The screenshot below shows this clearly.  The upgrade happened on the Sun morning before the spike.

    Airwave network usage

Just wondering what is causing this and should I be concerned?  No issues have been reported by the customer though.

Could this just be a case of the new version being 'better'?

    Thanks

no mention of it in the release notes.

what are the forwarding mode of these APs?

i suggest if you are using release 6.1, to run 6.1.2.6

There is a local controller on site, and same subnet.  All VAPs are in tunnel mode.

My guess is that 5.x was not reporting these statistics to Airwave. After you upgraded, it started reporting the statistics correctly.

The statistics that seem to be peaking look like they were at 0 before (which would indicate that they were not being reported). Is this the case? Were they always 0 prior to the upgrade?

That's a good point, but looking again, it was always reported, just that it was so much lower than the peaks so it looks like zero.
