we are trying to configure email alert notification on Aruba 7010 (Firmware: 6.5.4), we have added SMTP server details (ip & port), but we couldn't able to configure our it team email address to received the alert (options are not available).

Did the user guide say what the email parameter was for?

hi cjoseph, we have configured SMTP server details on WLC, but we unable to find the configuration for email recipient and alert categories.

also as per https://community.arubanetworks.com/t5/Wireless-Access/Email-alerts/td-p/34997 email notification only work with Airwave.

could you please help me to get the clarification on this.

The controller does not send email alerts.  The email configuration in the controller is only for guest email.

Airwave does send email alerts, but the controller does not.

thanks, as per my understanding Airwave is a network monitoring tool from Aruba and we need to purchase seperatly (not built in aruba 7010 WLC)

one more thing, as per my understanding Airwave is a seperate tool (not a built 7010 tool) from Aruba for Monitoring & Reporting purpose and we need to purchase the same, my understanding is correct.
