Error to access to GUI Controller via Google Chrome "Your connection is not private".

Hi,

 

Here's some details around why you're seeing that message.

 

Toget around this I upgrade the controller fromt he CLI, however there's probably an "easier" way to rectify this issue.

I am having this issue.

So I have to buy a certificate to access my own networking gear????????

Nope. But it is recommended to upgrade the default certificate on your controller for security reasons.

You can upgrade the controller from the CLI or install a new certificate from the CLI.

The certificate can be fromyour own CA rather than a public one.

1.  Generate a CSR for your controller matching its hostname internally

2.  Issue a Certificate from your own internal CA that you trust based on that CSR

3.  Upload it to the controller

4.  Always browse to the controller's GUI using the controller's dns hostname.

5.  The error should go away, as a result.
