Existing AirPlay Devices work, newly added devices do not

I have an interesting AirPlay issue at one campus. Existing AppleTV's are working fine

If we deploy a new one (of the same generation and software) it will not register with AirPlay

I can't spot any differences in the Aruba config between this campus and another campus where the problem does not exist.

Client and ATV are both wireless

I believe the problem is due to the multicast config on the wired network. However the expert on our wired network is claiming that's not the case due to the fact that all user traffic is tunneled to the controller.

    Ver. 6.4.2.6

    What model controller?

How many existing devices do you have?

    Two 7210's master-local

There about fifty existing devices at this campus, mostly gen 3 Apple TV's

About two hundred ATV's in the organization

Are you only wanting to propagate AirPlay traffic?  Can you type "show airgroup servers" to see how many devices are really seen by the controller?  It is quite possible that other devices are advertising their Apple services and that is pushing you over the limit.  In the end, you might have to only enable the Airplay service so that other unneded devices do not take your slots.

I disabled some non-essenial services and left just AirPlay and AirPrint enabled

Num Servers: 134, Max Servers: 2000

Planning to disable/enable AirPlay after hours

Still banging my head against the fact that existing devices work, but new ones fail

No need to bang your head.  What was the "servers" number before your disabled the other services?

Also, please run the command below twice, about 10 seconds apart and give us the output of the second time you run it:

    show airgroup internal-state statistics

    Output is attached

I did a user debug on the ATV and sent to support for review

Unfortunately I did not note the difference in number of clients before/after

    Thanks

Still searching for an answer on this one

Tested with a wired ATV and wired client, still no luck

Clients are in the same VLAN and subnet

    pursuing a case w/support
