External Captive Portal

    Hi, 

     

    I am new in Aruba controller technology and appreciate someone to advise on the setup for external captive portal as the controller doesn't show a splash page upon logged in to wifi. Thank you in advance

    Do you just want to setup a splash page?  Using Configuration> WLAN Wizard is the quickest way to do that.

    Thank you for the reply. 

    There are configurations under AAA Profiles and L3 Authentication for captive portal and expecting to have a splash page to external captive portal but it's not happening. Can you advise configuration settings to make it work (user rule, policies, mac/801.1x auth and others)?

    First thing, the Initial role in the AAA profile should be a name that looks like "***logon".  That Role should have the Captive Portal ACL that redirects port 80 and 443 traffic to the controller.  In that role, the Captive Portal Authentication profile should be referenced.

     

    That is what it should be on a basic level.
