Force 5 Ghz for a specific client

Is there a secret CLI command to force a specific MAC address to the 5 Ghz band with Clientmatch.

Thanks

No but many clients allow you select the band.

Thanks,

Well it's a couple of Apple TVs that I'm looking to force to 5 Ghz.

Yes and no.

First you need to do a "show ap virtual-beacon-report client-mac <mac address of client>".  If the list shows an available "a" radio that is not stale, and is strong enough you can do:

ArubaOS 6.3

stm move-sta <client mac address> <target bssid in virtual beacon report>

ArubaOS 6.4

arm move-sta <client mac address> <target bssid in virtual beacon report>

Once again, if the bssid does not show up in the virtual beacon report, you cannot "move" the client to that bssid manually.  On a mac or windows laptop, you can typically populate the virtual beacon report by "scanning" to see what WLAN network are out there.  On an apple TV, you don't have that option.  You can also make the 2.4ghz less attractive by lowering the power relative to the 5ghz power on that access point.
