At the college I work for, we have a standard 802.1x network and a Guest network that we use for guests but also devices that aren't 802.1x compatible. We had a student come in today to get his new Google Home connected to the network. Once I searched the MAC address in Clear Pass to give it the right classification, it was still getting a Guest-CP-Role when attempting to connect instead of the proper user role which should be "Student." I tried adding it into our static hosts lists and that didn't work. We also tried blacklisting and whitelisting the MAC address in the controller and that didn't help either. Does anyone have any ideas on how we can get this device connected?

Did you clear it out of the user table after registering it in ClearPass?

Yes. Still haven't had any luck.

I would type "show station-table | include <mac address of device" to see where it is...
