Getting information in logs..

I am trying to link my Palo Alto Network device with my Aruba information.

My students do not belong to the domain (AD) so I cannot immediately pull in their username information.

Once upon a time, during a debug session I stumbled across a logging setting that gave me username, IP and Mac address..

Anyone recall what category I have to enable in logging levels to get that information?

Try this:  http://community.arubanetworks.com/t5/Command-of-the-Day/COTD-Improved-Logging-in-ArubaOS-Show-Log-user/m-p/1074/highlight/true#M84

Re: Getting information in logs..

Thank you.

Once I enabled that, I got similar but not identical information.

11-29-2012    10:06:55    Local1.Info    securearuba1.risd.edu    Nov 29 10:06:55 CARR authmgr[1873]: <522038> <INFO> <CARR 10.2.5.41>  username=mstern MAC=54:26:96:a4:a0:c2 IP=0.0.0.0 Authentication result=Authentication Successful method=802.1x server=wireauth-rad

I see message ID  522038 more often than not, versus the number you mentioned.

Is it Aruba OS dependent?

Sorry, I also noted that all the IP's are 0.0.0.0
