Where are you seeing this? It should read VHT80.

    HT80 should be VHT (Very High Throughtout) 80 means 8(4 x 802.11a 20 MHz channels bond together) = 802.11ac.

in most deployments its recommended to just disable it specially since most wireless deployments today are high density and when this is enable you end up getting only two channels available (No DFS enabled) and three (DFS enabled).

When you disable VHT(80) that means that you could either have HT40 or HT20 .

I recommend you read the Aruba 802.11ac VRD there's more details that will help answer some of your questions

it's cisco equipement, what did you expect? :P

A bit more serious: does the client you test with support 80MHz channels?

~100Mbps sounds more like a 20MHz n-client rather than anything supporting 80MHz channels.

You may want to post on the Cisco forums.
