    Trying to find out how to disable the ntpd monlist command, or how to upgrade ntp to 4.2.7.

    You can add the following to the /etc/ntp.conf (although I would work with TAC before you change that)

     

    restrict default kod nomodify notrap nopeer noquery

    Thanks, I found that as well.  It looks like you can also disable for IPV6 with "restrict -6 default kod nomodify notrap nopeer noquery".  I'll follow up and let you know how it works out.

    To update, you can do:

    # yum update ntp
