I wanted to generate fake radar signal on Aruba contorller/AP using CLI commands, so that controller/AP will detect the radar pulse and announce a channel switch to client and move to new channel.

using Aruba 620 controller/AP134.

Is there any other way to ask AP to switch over to any other channel (Channel switch announcement in Beacon/Action frame) ?

Getting an AP to switch channels due to interference or duty-cycle reasons, is a *COMPLETELY DIFFERENT* trigger than what causes a DFS trigger to occur. Simulating AP channel changes due to interference or duty cycle is easy (microwaves, cameras, etc). Triggering DFS will require access to specific radar-based trigger algorithms that the FCC sets. You can dig around Google and find the trigger thresholds, rates, etc.

i know Triggering DFS radar signal with external equipment (ex: Agilent signal generator etc..).

But i wanted here .. whether Aruba is giving any debug CLI command to switch to Different signal by CSA announcement.

Cisco has this implementation:

Cisco#Debug dot11 dot11 1 dfs simulate <ch>

ah interesting, can't find such a command. you might want to add it to the idea portal and see if you get some support.

Any updates on this? Is a CLI command now available?
