How to import the gap-db database??

If I were to replace a controller and want to backup the RAP whitelist, I can do so with "export gap-db" command.

How would I re-import this database?

I am not sure if the flashbackup does this or not.

Thanks.

Re: How to import the gap-db database??

That command is incorrect for backing up/exporting the RAP whitelist.  The whitelist is part of the local-user db.  Use the following command (it will export the entire user db; not just the RAPs)

local-userdb export <name of file>

You'll need to load the file onto the new controller's flash (TFTP, etc.).

local-userdb import <name of file>

The import/export can also be done in the Web UI through the Internal DB server definition.

Perfect thanks

Also, do you know if the RAP whitelist is part of the flashbackup?

Re: How to import the gap-db database??

Yes, it should contain the following (since it is a part of the Local User DB):

  • Software licenses and license database
  • Configuration files
  • Local user database
  • Global AP database
  • WMS database
  • Custom upload certificates
  • Custom upload CP pages
  • Any other files uploaded to the controller
