I have two 205 APs in a room 60x25.  These APs are facing each other on each far end wall.  Now wont they just use arm and power each other down, and or use different radio channels?  Or will I have to just completely power one down?  I thought they would be able to work together using ARM.

Ideally, you should mount them horizontally. If you can't mount them on a
ceiling, you can use a generic L-bracket.

Agree with Cap, but even so they should still move to different channels and/or power. You are sure they are in an AP group with ARM enabled? What is the 'show ap active' for the two APs in question?

Here , we should consider two points,

 

1. Coverage and signal leakage through the wall.

 

2. Channel and signal power of each AP.

 

For good coverage and for avoiding signal leakage, it is recommended to mount the AP to the ceiling, away from the wall and horizontal to each other ( as Cappali said use L brackets).

 

When APs are close to each other it is recommended to enable ARM to handle the Transmitting power and channel.

 

Therefore I would recommend you to mount APs to the ceiling, horizontal each other and enable ARM.
