    Hello.

One small qusition: how can I restore a configuration from a tftp server via ssh and force the controller to push this configuration to all accesspoints?

    I do (on controller)

    # tftp [tftp-server-ip] [filename] system config

    and get

please reboot the AP to apply the new configuration

All fine after "# reload" if there is only one accesspoint.

Not, if there are more than one.

    What happens then is:

If I reload the contoller accesspoint is, that the controller accesspoint reboots and after that gets the old config from one of the other accesspoint which is now the new controller.

In this way I will never be able to restore the configuration of all present accesspoints.

    So my question ist:

How can I force the controller to push the uploaded configuration to all accesspoints and force all accesspoints to reboot?

(This is what happens if the restore is done on the web interface)

    Best regards,

    All-X

Do you have an instant cluster?  You should reboot them all at once.

    Yes, i do.

Is there a way to do this reboot of all access-points via cli on the controller?

    Best regards.

I`m sorry, but that didn`t fix the problem.

Sometimes it seems to work, but in other times it does not.

Here is exactely what I type:

    ap-01# copy tftp 192.168.1.55 configtoberestored.cfg system config
please reboot the AP to apply the new configuration
    ap-01# commit apply
    committing configuration...
    configuration committed.
    ap-01# reload all
Do you really want to reset the system (y/n): y

    y

Now the accesspoints reboot as expected.

After the reboot I sometimes get the configuration I wanted to restore, sometimes the former configuration and somtimes a "mixed" configuration which contains three valdid SSIDs an two SSIDs named "instant".

    Thy for replay.

    Best regards

Are you doing all of this work from the Virtual Controller?

You should type "show aps" to make sure that it can see all of the APs in the cluster.  If it cannot see all APs, you are only restoring your configuration to some of the APS.
