I am running 6.5.4.3_61877 on my IAP 103's, due to a software issue with memory free going to zero and rebooting the IAP devices. I recently installed a new IAP and wanted to upgrade it to the same version but Aruba couldn't find version 6.5.4.3_61877. So, I upgrade to version 6.5.4.4-6.5.4.4_62877 and now my IAP 103 devices are rebooting due to the “Memory Free” slowing going to zero over time again. Where can I find version 6.5.4.3_61877?

    Thanks

    GM

    Yup I did.

This is the bug that I found in the Aruba Instant 6.5.4.2 release notes prior to upgrading to version 6.5.4.3_61877. Now that I recently upgraded to version 6.5.4.4_62877, it’s broken again with the same exact symptom.

    Bug ID: 167091 & 168226

    Description

    • Symptom: IAPs randomly reboot because of a low memory.
    • Scenario: This issue occurs because the age out function for cached probe requests is not added to the IAPs. This issue is observed in IAPs running Instant 6.5.4.0 or later versions.
    • Workaround: None.

Reported Versions: Platform All platforms Instant 6.5.4.0

If it is a known issue, that means they have observed the behavior and it has not been fixed in time for that release.  You can email TAC to let you understand when it has been fixed or if you can downgrade to something that does not have that specific issue.

I would love to downgrade. Unfortunately, I installed a new IAP and it doesn't have the pervious version on it that worked because the device is new. Where can I find version 6.5.4.3_61877? If I had that I could downgrade all devices and I would be back in business.

Is there a way to copy the system image from an IAP that is running version 6.5.4.3_61877? I have another customer where the IAP's are running that version. If I could pull the software from it and could install it on the new IAP.

    Thanks

Where did you get 61877 from? 61959 is an official release of 6.5.4.3

Okay.  If you are working with Aruba over the phone or on email, please continue to communicate with them to avoid confusion.  They know much more about your case.

Please report back here with your progress.
