    Hi Aruba Community,

    We would be glad if you help us solving a problem that we are facing for an Aruba IAP Version 6.4.2.0-4.1.1.1

    The IF-MIB values that are returned for this IAP for ifInOctects and ifOutOctets are zero. This results into empty traffic graphs in our monitoring solution.

    Sample snmpbulkwalk output is here.

    Caching Oids: ifEntry

    CMD[^[[0;33m/usr/bin/snmpbulkwalk -v3 -l 'authPriv' -n "" -x *** -X *** -a *** -A *** -u *** -OQUs -m IF-MIB -M /opt/observium/mibs/rfc:/opt/observium/mibs/net-snmp 'udp':'device_hostname':'161' ifEntry^[[0m]^[[0m

    STDOUT[

    ifIndex.1 = 1

    ifIndex.2 = 2

    ifIndex.54 = 54

    ifIndex.500 = 500

    ifHCOutOctets.70 = 0
    ifHCOutOctets.90 = 0
    ifHCOutOctets.500 = 0

    Has anyone seen this before, what is the possible cause and solution to this.

    Thank-you,

    Manjiri

    I'm having the same issue - using Observium for monitoring. I'm not seeing the client count on my IAP's either.

    did you find a solution for this?

    Aruba has Mibs on its website that can be downloaded to provide support.  With regards to Observium, specifically, there is no guarantee with Observium that developers would provide support for Aruba Instant http://postman.memetic.org/pipermail/observium/2014-June/006981.html

    Maybe others can chime in if they have gotten this figured out with Observium.

    Thanks for the quick response Colin.

    I understand there is no guarantee, I was hoping to find the oid for number of associated clients (per ap or per radio) - I've checked the MIB reference guide 6.4.0.2 I don't see an oid for total clients - does this exist?

    thanks

    You would have to total the number of objects in the user table. There is no MiB that has the total count.
