Is something like HREAP at cisco available for Aruba?

How can I confiugre it on my Controller with OS 6.2 ?

I want that some clients can direkt communicate witch each other, normaly the traffic goes over a GRE tunnel to the Aruba Controller.

    Thanks

Do you mean HREAP?  Please describe what you need to do, so we can speak directly to your use case.

    Ok, I mean HREAP...:smileywink:

My controller is not on the same location, so the traffic must go over wan.

When two wireless clients want to communicate with each other the traffic goes over the WAN to the controller and than back to the other wireless client.

I want that the clients can communicate directly not over the controller....

    thanks

Okay.  If you have Campus Access Points and you want your clients to bridge their traffic locally you will need to:

    - turn on Control Plane Security (CPSEC) - On by default

    - Change the forwarding mode of your Virtual AP profile (wireless network) to Bridged and make sure the VLAN in the Virtual AP is one.

Clients should get an ip address from the local VLAN

There is some more detail to this, so if you configure it, please as questions.

    ok, thanks.

When I changed this settings, the clients can communicate to each other directly, right?

But the clients must also communicate to server they are behind the controller over the wan, does this work?

There is a quick and dirty picture in the attachment...

Yes, the clients can communicate like you said.

Is that a private WAN like MPLS or site to site VPN?  If yes, that will work based on your diagram.

If there is no private transport for the traffic between the access points and the controller, we would have to configure the access points as Remote APs.
