Is there a limit to the number of static routes on a controller?

We have been using a 2400 to terminate a large number of GRE tunnels that we use to filter guest traffic to the Internet, but i just got an error on the max number of tunnels is between 128 and 133, which is the 1st time i have seen it...

I am sure that I have over time added well over 128 routes since I have over 200 tunnels.

Does anyone know the maximum number of static routes?  Currently we are running ver 5.0.4.10.

I don't think there is a limit from a configuration stand point that the controller will not allow you to but not sure if there's a best practice limitation

128 IS the max for the 2400 series controller.  Later controllers do have a higher static route limit...

Looks like I am going to have to open a TAC case on this, since after replacing the 2400 with the 3600 i got the same results....

That is a limitation of 5.0.3.3  if you upgrade 6.x that would lift the limitation.

Just got the word back from engineering that it is not a bug but expected.

"We have a limit of 128 static routes that can be configured on the controller and we have hit that limit."

So not that is in the documentation that i could find but on controllers it needs to be noted somewhere that they can only support 128 static routes....
