    Hi,

We have a large L2TP pool (8000 odd address) for our VPN clients, every time a client connects or reconnects another IP is assigned incrementally.

My question is, what happens once all addresses have been used, does the pool reset? (not all addresses are used simultaneously)

    Thanks,

Try this command to see how many addresses are in use/free.

    #show vpdn l2tp local pool

When an address is no longer in use it will be released back into the pool.

    Hi James,

All addresses not in use are free which is good. My concern is, what happens when the last ip in the range is used. Does it then start from the 1st IP again?

    Cheers,

    Jack

Hi Jack, Yes. The addresses used increment each time. When the last address in the pool is used the 1st available one will be used next.
