    Hello,

We're deploying AP-275 (Non Instant model), connected to MC 7240 through a L3 network.

Not able to login to AP to set its IP & Default GW, I got a feedback only IAP can login to it, but the normal AP must be connected directly to controller through direct L2 network first, then we can later on login and change its IP & DGW route.

I need to confirm this info, as this sounds very strange..

    Thanks.

You cannot SSH or telnet into an AP275 to configure it.

You need to connect to the AP using the USB console cable that comes with the AP275  You have to download the driver for the console cable here:  https://support.arubanetworks.com/ToolsResources/tabid/76/DMXModule/514/Default.aspx?EntryId=7511

When you connect to the AP using the console cable, you should be able to set static ip address information using "setenv" commands:  http://community.arubanetworks.com/t5/Controller-Based-WLANs/Useful-APBOOT-commands/ta-p/179950

Please see the installation guide here:  https://support.arubanetworks.com/Documentation/tabid/77/DMXModule/512/Command/Core_Download/Default.aspx?EntryId=18884 for more details.

Thanks a lot, I could login now and use the "setenv" commands..

One more thing, I didn't find a setenv command to set a VLAN on AP uplink interface, could you please support on this?

    Thanks.

That is not available.  Why not put the AP's port on the VLAN that it needs to be in?
