I’m going to install a MSR2000 as a central point.

If I use only the 5GHz band, what is the maximum number of antennas can I attach to it? (i.e.: ANT-2X2-5314)
Will the number be different if I use the 2.4GHz & 5GHz band? If yes, how many antennas can I attach to it?

The MSR 2000 has two radios and 4 antenna ports.  2 antennas can be dedicated to each radio.  Both radios can be tuned to 5ghz, so you can attach 4 antennas, all tuned to 5ghz.

    Hi Colin

We know the MSR2000 has 4 four antenna ports but each Ant-2x2-5314 has two antenna ports.

You’re stating that we can connect four Antennas, which means only one cable (and LAR) per Antenna.
Since the Antenna works perfectly with one cable, what’s the advantage of using two cables?
Aggregate two frequencies to increase speed?

Regards and thanks for or help

    beconnect,

you *could* connect 4 antennas if the antenna you chose only had a single connector.  The 5314 has two connectors so if you were only using one radio you would connect the 5314 to two connectors on the same radio.  You did not mention the 5314 in your first post.
