Macbook Air + Aruba 205 = Problems

Hi good people!

I having some trouble with Macbook Air's and Aruba APs 205.

It has 802.1x Auth with clear pass.

I've band stearing to 5Ghz.

Our Macbook Air's sometimes drops their connection and other lose the connectivity for a period of seconds.

This is not a coverage problem we are talking about an isolated test of 1 AP, 1 Mac and nothing else on 5Ghz band.

Any known issues about this?

Exactly what operating system version is your MACBook Air running?

What version of ArubaOS?

The AP is running ArubaInstant_Cassiopeia_6.4.2.0-4.1.1.1_46936

The MAC is running the latest version.

Thank you

What is the latest version?  10.10.1?  Which one are you running?

There are quite a bit of issues on the latest (Yosemite) version of Mac OSX 10.10.1

Please try another device with the AP205.  Please try the Macbook Air with a different access point.

We indeed have seen such problems on all versions of OSX not just

10.10.x.

Other things to try.  You can find exact instructions for some

of these by googling.

1) Get the AP off of channels 132-144 if it is there

2) If the AP/controller can be rebooted, try each of those and retest.

3) See if the problem only happens when Bluetooth is enabled.

4) Remove the opportunistic roaming .plist file

5) Remove all .plist files and rebuild the connection from scratch

6) Install all intermediate dot1x certificates and set every cert

in the chain to trusted status.

7) Apply the setting that prevents changing networks without authorization.
