Municipal Mesh deployment

All,

A buddy of mine is looking to deploy a mesh in a community neighborhood. Him and I setup something similar with Tropos gear back in the day, so he's comfortable with the strengths and weaknesses of that design. I'm wondering where Aruba is with their mesh product. Has the Aruba Mesh MSR products been deployed in a working small- to medium-scale Municipal Mesh design?

Thanks!

Re: Municipal Mesh deployment

yes our Mesh wireless routers can be deployed in small areas as well. They all work at Layer 3.

they can also operate in public safety band (4.9GHz) .

Re: Municipal Mesh deployment

Hi Ariya,

Thanks for the response! I took a look at the product portfolio and read through the Mesh VRD, which was really good, btw.

I was wondering not whether it could as much as whether it had been deployed. Do you know of a case study / reference municipality in which the MSRs have been deployed?

Thanks for your help - it is very much appreciated!

Re: Municipal Mesh deployment

Aruba has quite a few worldwide municipal deployments, such as Seattle downtown, city of Brescia in Italy and Wireless Beijing in China.
