No command 'show netstat' on Aruba OS 6.4.2.4?

Hello,

I used to use 'show netstat' to see current tcp/udp connections on a Aruba controller to troubleshoot network connection issues. Since upgraded to 6.4, the command is nolonger available. The only option left is 'show netstat stats', which displays stats and no current connections and listening ports. Is there an alternative command/way I can use to get the connection information?

(CamL1) #show netstat
% Incomplete command.

(CamL1) #show netstat ?
stats                   Show netstat statistics

Thank you.

I think you are looking for

# show datapath session table

ELiasz,

Thank you.

Do you know if 'show datapath session table' outputs same connection information as 'show netstat'? I used to get output from 'show netstat' like this one:

(Local5) #show netstat

Thank you.

Do you know if 'show datapath session table' outputs same active connection information as 'show netstat'? I used to get output from 'show netstat' like this one:

Re: No command 'show netstat' on Aruba OS 6.4.2.4?

I opened a call with Support (1674790) and here is my interpretation of what I was told:

The Aruba Development team made a decision to discontinue support for “show netstat” due to the load it places on the CPU.  The problem caused by “show netstat” was so urgent that there was no time to retire the command gracefully, for instance by deprecating it first, and no time to change the documentation for 6.4.  There are no plans to replace the functionality of “show netstat” but they will continue to support “show netstat stats”.

Re: No command 'show netstat' on Aruba OS 6.4.2.4?

Doug, Thanks.

If 'show netstat' cause cpu spikes, then maybe assign the process to a cpu other than 0? Controller 7240 has 8 cpus. Anyway, thanks for checking with Aruba.
