    Dear All,

We have a 7240 controller and upon activationg the option 82 feature we are only getting sub option 2 (eSSID) with wireshark. And the sub option 1 field (MAC of the AP) is filled with all zeros. Anyone came acros with this?

    Thank you.

Are you doing something like split tunnel or bridge?

turn on some debug and see what it says. For a sample config such as

    interface vlan 1
      ip helper-address 192.168.1.245
      option-82 mac essid

    !

below is some sample debug that shows the BSSID being added, you can enable the same debugs and see if you can see your BSSID being added.

    logging level debugging user
    logging level info system

logging level debugging network process dhcpd subcat dhcp
logging level debugging network process dhcpd subcat packet-dump

logging level debugging system process dhcpd
logging level debugging network process dhcpd
