Problem, Windows 8 redirects to wrong CP address.

Problem, Windows 8 redirects to wrong CP address.

After I'm connected to wireless guest network Windows8 asks on a sidebar  "do you have username and password for this Wifi hotspot" OR "No, open browser to complete connection"

If  type credentials directly to Windows sidebar (option 1), not to browser authentication will fail. Other option is to open a browser using link Windows provides (option 2) Windows will open browser but captive portal page wont load, I found the problem why.

Windows is trying to open link:

https://securelogin.arubanetworks.com/cgi-bin/login?cmdlogin&mac=xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:da&ip=xx.xx.xx.xx.xx&wispr=1

But it should be, and we are using external CP server.

htttps://auth1.xxx.com/pages/?cmd=login&mac=xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:da&ip=xx.xx.xx.xx&essid=guest

So it's pointing to controllers CP server address, but should point to external server address. Windows 7, windows phone, Mac, Iphone, Ipad, android works. CP login page is defined correctly on CP authentication profile pointing to external server. We are using version 6.1.3.5

Re: Problem, Windows 8 redirects to wrong CP address.

It seems that Windows8 is doing CP check like Mac.

Windows 8 is trying to reach address http://www.msftncsi.com/ncsi.txt and if it doesn't it will assume that there is an authentication needed.

So if I allow on init role computer to reach http://www.msftncsi.com/ncsi.txt address, Windows8 wont bring up sidebar with these two options, then only opening browser and going to some address you'll get captive portal.

Still cant understand If I dont do this, why Windows is opening wrong CP address.. This sidebar authentication idea on windows8 is good but it doesnt work.
