RAP 5

Anyone know if a port on a Aruba RAP 5wn can be configure for a dot.1q trunk acting as the uplink.  We want to possibly use the RAPs at some WAN sites and plug them directly into our Metro E connections, let them tunnel back to campus and then set up the trunk port on the RAP and attach our switch to that.  Am I wasting my time?

Regards

Aruba

Re: RAP 5

Yes, you can configure ports on a RAP (including the RAP-5) as a trunk port.  You'll need to create the appropriate Wired AP profile and apply it to the port you want to uplink.  Below is an example, your config may vary, specifically the allowed VLANs and whether you want it to trusted or not.
