    Hello everyone.

    I was wondering what would be the recommended way to configure for example

    Let say i got a big Conference room in which its needed around 10 APS

    I would like to configure 3 APS working in 2.4ghz and 5ghz, and the rest just working on 5ghz.(this is becasue the only place i can put the aps are in the ceiling!. and i would not like to have co channel interference on 2.4ghz) in this case on the airwave i have  like 80% on 5ghz and 20% on 2.4ghz.

    Now it comes to my mind configuring it this way but im not sure if this is the best way.  I dont remenber reading how you should do it in the HD VRD.

    For now i have though in doing 2 groups

    Lets call it

    HD_24_5 = for the 3 APS working in 5 and 2.4ghz band

    HD_5 = for the 7 APs just working on 5ghz band.

    Is this is the correct way to do it?

    Is there any recommendation when having multiple groups of APS in one shared space?

    Things not related to this topic that just came to my mind

    If i got 2 AP groups and i got a client roaming let say he roams from AP GROUP 1 to AP GROUP 2 would it roam with no issues?

    Actually i always asked that myselft... and i dont remenber reading this kind of things on the ACMP course or anything like it....

    Cheers

    Carlos

    You should have no issues.  Make 3 APs in one ap-group that has 2.4ghz enabled.  Put the rest in an ap-group that has 2.4 disabled but 5ghz enabled.  You should be fine.
