    Hi,

Aruba sent me temporary license files to install and use while I was waiting for the proper licenses to arrive. I now have all permanent licenses installed and would like to remove the old files. When attempting to remove through the WebUI is shows key is disabled, no action taken....  Are these stored in flash? How can I remove  them?

    thx,

not done this before, but you could

export the licenses to a file

    # license export <filename>

copy to your PC, then edit the file and take out the entries you want to remove.  Put it back onto the controller and then import with

    # license import <filename>

Obviously keep a copy of the original licenses in case it doesn't work.

However, the above is probably not supported, so do a flashback just in case.

    Hello,

I have the same problem; can't delete an expired key.

    When I try, system says;

"Key is already disabled; no action taken"

I get same error from web and from terminal.

How can I delete this expired Key???

    Best Regards.

The only way to remove old license keys is to wipe the controller with a write erase all command.

This will wipe the entire configuration, so be careful. There's really no need to remove old license keys.

    Thanks for the information!

No need to remove old licenses... No need to maintain them neither.

    Anyway... thanks again!

    :)
