SSID That is Broadcast but goes nowhere

I want to set up a SSID that wireless enabled cameras and camcorders can see but cannot authenticate to access point.  We refurbish  cameras and video camcordors so there is a need to see a wireless SSID but no need to authenticate anywhere.

How would I set that up?  I tried an open SSID but wireless devices are connecting and get authenticated.  I don't want any other devices to authenticate to that SSID.

Re: SSID That is Broadcast but goes nowhere

You probably need WPA/WPA2-PSK network.  First check to see if your devices support that.

Next, you should use the WLAN/LAN Wizard (configuration> WLAN/LAN Wizard or Campus WLAN in 6.2 and above).  Choose an internal network, choose an existing VLAN.  Make sure you then choose Strong Encryption with Shared Authentication and put your key in twice.  After you finish, your devices should be able to connect to that WLAN with the key you specified.
