Users are getting delay in getting IP address and some time they dont get IP address.

    Hi,

    Please see the following issue and suggest.

    vlan 2,3 and 11 are created and running Hash VLAN algorithm.

    Users are getting delay in getting IP address and some time they dont get IP address.

    Below is the log on controller:
    <DBUG> |dhcpd| parse_option_buffer: malformed option dhcp.netbios-node-type (code 46): option length exceeds option buffer length.

    You should make sure that in your user role there is an ACL like:

     

    any any service svc-dhcp permit

    Hi Joseph,

     

    I have applied  Even pooling method in VLAN pooling on the controller to check the user connectivity.

     

    Today users are checking the connectivity.

    Please check this Validated Reference Design document about the possibilities of using a single VLAN instead of VLAN pooling: http://community.arubanetworks.com/t5/Validated-Reference-Design/Single-VLAN-Architecture-for-WLAN/ta-p/257196

     

    In many cases VLAN pooling is the less desirable solution.One exception is when you cannot get a single block of IP addresses for your wireless clients.
